Petaluma police continued their quest to keep drinking drivers off the road with a DUI warrant sweep and attention to known repeat drunken drivers.
On Monday afternoon, Jennifer Jeffries, 48, of Petaluma, a two-time DUI offender, was arrested when Officer Rob Hawkins spotted her driving her vehicle. Jeffries was known to have a suspended license and was on probation for a prior DUI.
Hawkins said Jeffries was under the influence of alcohol but not over the legal limit for driving. She was arrested on suspicion of violating probation and the vehicle was impounded for 30 days.
A separate countywide DUI sweep on Sunday netted six drivers suspected of being drunk behind the wheel.
Police patrolled Petaluma, Cotati, Rohnert Park, and Santa Rosa searching for 30 DUI warrant suspects.
Arrested on pending DUI charges were: Andrew Razo, 23, of Cotati and Santa Rosa residents Suzanna Jimenes, 27, Jennifer Parmeter, 27, Willy Martin, 32, and Anna Avery, 29.
Officers also conducted a probation check on John Antonio Conder, 36, of Rohnert Park, a repeat DUI offender with probation terms that forbid the use or possession of alcohol. He was discovered under the influence of alcohol and was arrested on suspicion of violating probation, Savano said.
