The Springs Redevelopment Advisory Committee is meeting Thursday night amid uncertainty over whether its work in the area adjacent to the City of Sonoma can be sustained.
The committee's agenda includes a discussion on the future of redevelopment funding.
As part of the state budget passed in June, the Legislature and Gov. Jerry Brown dissolved redevelopment agencies but also gave them the option to continue — if they agree to pay specified amounts for distribution to schools and other taxing entities.
Sonoma County's payment is estimated to be $3.02 million, of which $590,000 would come from the springs redevelopment agency.
The committee's agenda also includes discussions on parking, billboards and landscaping along Highway 12 in the springs area.
Tonight's meeting is at 7 p.m. at the Sonoma Valley Grange Hall.
