Lake County Sheriff's detectives Wednesday arrested a Clearlake rap artist suspected of beating a woman, threatening her with a handgun and being in possession of an assault rifle.
Narcotics Task Force detectives, Lake County SWAT Team members and patrol deputies received information that the wanted man, Stephen Patrick Johnson, 29, had a connection to a Clearlake residence. Officers on Wednesday went to home believed to be the residence of Johnson's brother, Dreshon Markell Hunter.
Officers forced entry and said they found an assault rifle, 9 mm pistol and a glass smoking pipe in the residence.
Johnson was booked on charges of domestic violence, false imprisonment, illegal possession of a firearm with a prior weapon conviction, felon in possession of ammunition and obliterating the serial number on a firearm.
Johnson's bail was set at $565,000.
Hunter is facing weapons charges in Oakland. He was booked on charges of possession of an assault weapon, obliterating the serial number on a firearm and possession of controlled substance paraphernalia.
