News from Sonoma County communities has a new home on the Internet.

Town Hub, launched a year ago as an extension of, has a new name, design and address. It's called "Towns," a new online section of the Press Democrat. It's no coincidence that there's a new section inside your Sunday paper this weekend called Towns as well.

The new websites and the new newspaper section are both reflections of our interest in bringing you comprehensive coverage and information, from details of local events to interesting stories on newsmakers and creative leaders in various communities, and much more.

Online, at, you will find websites dedicated to 11 different Sonoma County communities. The sites feature your neighbors — our community correspondents from across the county — who are sharing stories and pictures from each community. Together with the staff writers of The Press Democrat's newsroom, the new community websites will keep you updated on local news, people, places and things to do.

The new community-specific sites will also showcase local restaurant reviews, shopping bargains and businesses in each community.

Much of the content on these new sites is coming from you. Your comments on stories, your ideas for what we should be covering, your photos sent in from your neighborhoods and local events, your calendar listings, votes in web-polls for each town, youth and community sports and recreations news, and more are all part of this new space on the Internet.

We encourage you to find the site for your community and your neighboring places — and explore and stay awhile.
