Emergency crews rushed to two Highway 101 car crashes Tuesday morning, almost across the highway from each other, the CHP reported.
The first crash was in southbound lanes, south of Todd Road at 7:58 a.m.
A woman was thrown from her car after hitting the guardrail, the CHP reported.
An ambulance was called and she was transported to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital.
As that crash was being cleaned up, over in the northbound lanes as many as five cars reportedly collided, also just south of Todd Road.
The crash temporarily blocked the slow lane.
It wasn't clear whether anyone suffered major injuries and an ambulance was sent as a precaution.
The CHP warned of slowed traffic from the crashes, but said at about 8:45 a.m. that the highway lanes had been cleared.
