Two Petaluma men died in a late-night crash Saturday when their car drifted off Pepper Road and hit a tree, the CHP said.

Few details were available Sunday, and the men's identities were being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

The driver of the car was 27 and the passenger was 18, the CHP said. Both were wearing seatbelts.

The accident occurred at about 11:45 p.m. east of Bodega Avenue.
