Marin woman rehired as SMART's finance chief

The Sonoma-Marin Area Rail Transit District has rehired Erin McGrath as its chief financial officer at an annual salary of $180,000.

McGrath, a Larkspur resident, was chief financial officer from May 2008 to June 2009. She left for family reasons and has been a part-time consultant for the past two months.

She replaces David Heath, who was the chief financial officer from July 2009 until he was fired in mid November.

McGrath's contract also calls for a $600 per month allowance for a car and cell phone. The contract begins Jan. 2.
