I don't know about you, but I was kind of surprised by the change of opinion by the American Academy of Pediatrics regarding circumcision - especially when it seems many parents are starting to steer away from this practice. Does their new stance change your mind about circumcising your son?

I'm really excited about the newest story I'm working on about what it's like to live on a Food Stamp budget. In fact, I already have two families who are taking on the challenge, and several people have written me with their stories. But there's a personal reason why I'm doing this challenge. Read my blog to find out more.

Little League Parade: The boys are back in town, and we couldn't be more proud of how they did on their journey to the World Series of Little League Baseball. There were sacrifices made by the families, determination by the boys, and a true example of what good coaching is supposed to look like by their coaches. And despite the vast expenses this team has paid to be a part of the tournament, these honorable boys are donating all proceeds from the event to Team Uganda - another Little League team with their own tales of hardships and triumphs. Of all the events I have listed here, I dub their welcome home parade in Petaluma the one that should NOT BE MISSED. Bring your gently used baseball uniforms and equipment to donate, and I'll see you at the parade! 1 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. Starts and ends at Walnut Park, winding through downtown Petaluma. Facebook Event Page
