A Sebastopol woman was arrested after she was seen smoking a marijuana pipe while driving with a child in her car, police said Thursday.
Leah Ruth Cambra, 34, was allegedly driving with no hands on the steering wheel, holding a pipe in one hand and a lighter in the other, when an officer saw her Wednesday on Gravenstein Highway South, said Sebastopol Police Chief Jeff Weaver.
When Officer David Ginn pulled Cambra over, he saw there was a child in her minivan, Weaver said.
Ginn arrested Cambra on suspicion of child abuse, Weaver said, because she took her hands off the steering wheel and was smoking marijuana near the child, who is 19 months old.
She was released on $25,000 bail from the Sebastopol Police Department, Weaver said.
