Winesong 2012 auction raises more than $600,000

Winesong 2012's live auction raised more than $600,000 for the Mendocino Coast Hospital Foundation during the two-day fund-raiser in early September on the Mendocino Coast.

One of the high bids of the day came from Grace Family Vineyards owner Dick Grace of Napa, who bid $25,000 for a week-long vacation in Chianti, Italy.

The luncheon for the auction was prepared by celebrity chef Bradley Ogden, who donated two dinners that raised a total of $20,000.

The weekend also included a tasting of pinot noir at the Little River Inn, a reception at the Mendocino coast home of Fedele and Linda Bauccio, and a walk-around tasting at the Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens in Fort Bragg.
