A twice-convicted DUI motorist was arrested Monday on Highway 101 in Santa Rosa on suspicion of drunken driving and other violations.
CHP Officer Tim Snyder was northbound near Highway 12 at 10 p.m. when he said he saw a Ford Bronco swerving in front of him.
A license plate check revealed that, although the plate displayed 2012 tags, the registration had expired in 2010, Officer Jonathan Sloat said.
The driver, Jon Robert Eynon, 50, of Santa Rosa, was found to have a suspended driver's license, and records showed his license had been suspended seven times since 1996.
Eynon has two DUI convictions, including one on which he is on probation, and four convictions for driving with a suspended license. He was also wanted on a $10,000 Marin County warrant for driving with a suspended license.
Eynon was booked into the Sonoma County Jail on suspicion of numerous offenses, including driving without a court-ordered ignition interlock device.
