The deadline to register to vote in the upcoming presidential election is a month away.
Sonoma County residents must register by Oct. 22 to vote on Nov. 6.
To be eligible to vote, one must be a U.S. citizen, 18 years old on or before Nov. 6, and not in prison or on parole for a felony conviction.
Voters who have moved, want to change political party affiliation or who have changed their names need to re-register by Oct. 22. Voters whose mailing address has changed should notify the Sonoma County Registrar of Voters.
Registration forms are available at city halls, post offices, libraries, the Department of Motor Vehicles and the Registrar of Voters office, 435 Fiscal Drive in Santa Rosa.
