A head-on collision on Highway 116 near Stony Point Road on Sunday night involved a driver suspected of drunken driving, the CHP reported Monday.
The arrest of Rene Espinoza, 24, of Novato was one of 23 arrests during the weekend by CHP officers of people suspected in alcohol-related cases.
Espinoza, in a Toyota Camry, crossed over double yellow lines at about 9:15 p.m. and struck another Toyota Camry.
The woman in the second sedan went by ambulance to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital with possible moderate injuries, the CHP reported.
Of the CHP arrests, several involved drivers with multiple drunken driving convictions, CHP Officer Jon Sloat said.
Those included Marcus Lovely, 28, of Santa Rosa, whose driving record showed seven prior license suspensions and two DUI convictions in 2012, Sloat said.
Driver Phylicia Saunders, 22, of Santa Rosa was convicted of drunken driving in August. She received her license back about two weeks ago, said Sloat. Saunders, who wasn't wearing a seat belt, was arrested early Sunday, suspected of driving drunk.
