Fires destroy two travel trailers in Santa Rosa

Santa Rosa residents lost two travel trailers to fire Sunday, reported a Santa Rosa fire official.

One blaze was at about 9 p.m. at the Sequoia Mobile Home Park on Fulton Road, Santa Rosa Battalion Chief Mike Jones said.

The trailer was consumed by flames, which spread to nearby grass and trees. It was parked at a RV storage lot at the mobile home park, near West College Avenue.

The cause remained under investigation but the trailer had been worked on during the day and the cause was likely accidental, said Jones.

Sunday afternoon Santa Rosa firefighters were called to a travel trailer fire on Marlow Road near West Steele Lane.

The trailer was parked next to a residence and people were home at the time, said Jones.

Flames burned the trailer and spread to the ground around the it.

That fire appeared to have started inside the trailer and could have been electrical, said Jones.

He estimated the loss at less than $5,000 each.
