Authorities identified a second high school student who may have been sexually assaulted by a Cloverdale special education teacher's aide.
Dyke Dewitt, 63, was jailed last week on suspicion of sexual misconduct with a 15-year-old student over a period of several months, Sonoma County Sheriff's Officials said.
Detectives this week filed additional felony molestation charges against Dewitt after they identified a second 15-year-old student who was sexually assaulted, O'Leary said.
Detectives also searched Dewitt's home and found pornography featuring children and adults stored on computers, a cell phone and data storage devices O'Leary said.
Dewitt's bail was increased this week to $310,000 from $145,000, jail officials said.
Dewitt became a suspect after the first student's parents called Cloverdale Police. The sheriff's sexual assault team took over the investigation and gathered information from the student that led to the charges involving a second child, said O'Leary, who declined to identify the students' genders.
Dewitt, who is on paid administrative leave, has been with the school district for two years, district staff said. He was assigned to one classroom at Cloverdale High.
His next court appearance is Nov. 1.
