A crash in Sebastopol left a bicyclist severely injured Friday, police said.

The 12:57 p.m. accident occurred at the intersection of Florence and Healdsburg avenues, where there are no bike lanes, said Sebastopol Police Sgt. Greg DeVore.

The injured cyclist, a 63-year-old man from Rohnert Park, was taken to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital.

"He has suffered significant injuries," DeVore said.

The bicyclist was struck by a Toyota Camry driven by a 69-year-old Sebastopol man, DeVore said. He declined to release the names of either man because the incident is still under investigation.

There were no signs that either the victim or the driver were impaired by alcohol or drugs, DeVore said.
