EDITOR: Six months ago, there was anger and outrage about the likelihood that Wal-Mart might be able to branch out and create a superstore at the present Rohnert Park location. Those who opposed the expansion said there would be a traffic problem and area grocery competitors would have to compete by lowering their prices. Now the talk is of bringing in another casino, which would bring traffic problems, but no one seems to be voicing the same concerns.

Along with the increased traffic, you will see an increase in crime and poverty. They go hand in hand. Just walk through a casino and witness for yourself those who clearly don't have money to gamble away pulling the slot machine levers.

A few will benefit from having this casino, and the rest will have to pay the price for their greed.
