Santa Rosa City Schools will host a community information meeting at 6:30 p.m. today to discuss the proposed Spanish-language, dual-immersion charter school that officials are pressing to open in the fall.
The district hopes to open the program to 90 kindergarten and first graders next August. Officials expect to have signatures form parents indicating intent to enroll children by December. The board is set to vote on charter language in January or February.
The meeting will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the DeMeo Room of the Santa Rosa Recreation and Parks facility, 415 Steele Lane. For more information, call Anna Guzman at 528-5297.
