Middletown crash victim airlifted to Santa Rosa

Emergency personnel airlifted a victim of a traffic crash Friday west of Middletown.

The California Highway Patrol confirmed the crash on Dry Creek Cutoff but had no further details Friday night.

But the Lake County Record Bee's website reported the injured person as Sonya Garcia, 44, of Middletown. Her pickup truck struck a tree about 1 p.m., and Garcia was taken by helicopter to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital, according to the newspaper.

Garcia was listed in fair condition Friday night at the hospital, a spokeswoman said.
