Ukiah man suspected of throwing rock at passing patrol car in Santa Rosa

A Ukiah man was arrested Sunday on suspicion of throwing a rock at a passing Sonoma County Sheriff's Office patrol car in Santa Rosa, sheriff's officials said.

Tyler Lindgren, 23, was being held on $30,000 bail, jail officials said.

A deputy on patrol was exiting northbound Highway 101 at Bicentennial Way at about 3 a.m. when a rock hit the windshield, cracking the glass, Sgt. Brad Burke said.

The deputy saw a man running away in a field near the jail and drove around to the other side of the field, Burke said.

Lindgren was arrested on suspicion of being drunk in public, resisting arrest and throwing an object at a moving vehicle, jail records show.
