Sonoma County authorities on Tuesday were still working to confirm the identity of a man who died in a single car crash on Todd Road south of Santa Rosa on Halloween night, the county coroner's office said.

The victim is believed to be a 54-year-old Sebastopol resident, but officials plan to use DNA to confirm identity, a spokeswoman said.

The driver died after driving off Todd Road and into a ditch in the dark and rain around 7:20 p.m. Oct. 31, the CHP said. His Acura Integra then struck a concrete abutment, killing him, authorities said.
