A 3.4 earthquake jolted the Ukiah area early Tuesday, reported the U.S. Geological Survey.
The small quake was centered about nine miles southeast of Ukiah and nine miles west of Lakeport, in the general area of Cow Mountain.
It struck at 5:40 a.m. with a quick jolt. Emergency dispatchers in Ukiah reported no known damage.
The quake's depth was just over a half mile.
The U.S. Geological Survey tracks earthquakes around the globe. Information on the survey's website listed the temblor as being on the Maacama fault, which extends from the northern Bay Area to Ukiah.
