A structure fire in Cobb burnt the second story off a single-family dwelling Friday night, firefighters said.
At least one resident was home at the time, but managed to escape unharmed, said John Lovie, fire captain for Cal Fire. The cause is under investigation.
"Our people are out there this morning looking at it in the daylight," Lovie said.
The fire began at 7:26 p.m. on the 9400 block of Pamela Dr. in Cobb. Eight engines from Cal Fire and South Lake County Fire battled the blaze until it was contained at 9 p.m. An estimate of the damages was not immediately known.
