Many of us would rather not cook on Thanksgiving Day, especially if it clears our plate for other fun activities, like a walk in the park, a game of touch football or a blockbuster movie.
If you go out to eat, you don't have to polish the silver or wash up the dishes afterward, but you might get leftovers to take home in a doggie bag.
Here is a round-up of some of the restaurants serving Thanksgiving dinner, both traditional and untraditional, on Nov. 22, and a few ideas for getting guests out of the house on the long weekend:

<CF103>The Big 3 </CF>in Sonoma will serve a Thanksgiving brunch from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. and a special Thanksgiving menu from 2 to 9 p.m. Sante restaurant at the Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn will serve a Thanksgiving buffet in the dining room from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday. Looking for things to do with out-of-town guests on Thanksgiving weekend? Here are a couple of ideas:
<CF103>DaVero Olive Oil</CF> will throw its annual "Day after Thanksgiving" party at 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday at the tasting room, 766 Westside Road, Healdsburg. Rosso Pizzeria will bring their portable pizza oven, and you can eat, play frisbee and relax by the fire pit with a slice of pie and a glass of wine. No reservations. <CF103>Dry Creek Kitchen </CF>launches a new holiday tradition this Saturday with a Saturday Afternoon Holiday Tea in the Fireplace Lobby Lounge of the Hotel Healdsburg. The Afternoon Tea runs from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturdays through Dec. 23. Guests can enjoy chef Charlie Palmer's new custom tea blends, sparkling wine cocktails and dessert wines, plus an array of savory tea sandwiches, sweet scones, coddled cream, house-made jams and classic desserts from the Dry Creek Kitchen. $28 for adult tea service and tea bites; $37 for tea service, tea bites and holiday wine; $14 children for beverage and tea bites.
