Sonoma County search-and-rescue volunteers spent Wednesday on the Sonoma Coast scouring a Timber Cove neighborhood for a missing man, officials said.
The Lee Drive resident was last seen Nov. 21, sheriff's Lt. Steve Brown said. The man was reported missing Tuesday evening because he had been uncharacteristically out of touch with family members, Brown said.
His vehicle was found at home and relatives were concerned for his safety, Brown said.
The man is known as an avid hiker and kayaker, as well, he said.
Sheriff's personnel established a command post across Highway 1 from the Timber Cove Lodge to support the search operation.
