A Clearlake Oaks man was in critical condition Monday after he apparently shot himself in the head while showing a gun to friends.
Clearlake Police Sgt. Martin Snyder on Monday reported that Jake Crosby, 21, was at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital in intensive care.
Police were called to an apartment on Old Highway 53 at 7:08 p.m. Saturday for a person who'd been shot, Snyder said.
The investigation and statements from witnesses indicated Crosby was showing the gun when it went off, Snyder said.
