The Santa Rosa City Council on Tuesday will consider which of the recommended city charter changes to put before voters in the fall.

The 21-member Charter Review Committee has recommended electing City Council members by districts instead of citywide; changing the guidelines for how arbitrators handle contract disputes with police and firefighters; and eliminating charter language requiring the city to use the CalPERS pension system.

The council will accept the report and can act on it Tuesday or ask for additional information.

The charter review committee meets once every 10 years.
