A 3.0 earthquake shook The Geysers area Sunday afternoon, reported the U.S. Geological Survey.

It struck at 4:03 p.m. and was centered about two miles southeast of The Geysers and four miles southwest of Cobb.

It's depth was 1.3 miles.

Earthquakes are common in the seismically active area about 24 miles north of Santa Rosa.
