This has been a difficult week as the nation processes the tragedy that happened at Sandy Hook Elementary School. As a mom, I found it really hard to watch the news reports and stories as they unfolded over time. But through the grief, this tragedy has opened my eyes to how I love those around me. This holiday season, I look forward to being surrounded by family and friends, and hopefully conveying to them just how much they mean to me.

I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and holiday season. I wish you days of happiness and joy, love and laughter, and a season that gives you so much more than can be wrapped in a box.

Love to you all!

Here are some events coming up this weekend to enjoy with your family:

Dec 21-23

Sebastopol Nutcracker Ballet: There are countless Nutcracker performances to see around the North Bay and beyond, and all of them are exceptional. But one that is near and dear to my heart is the one put on by the Sebastopol Ballet School, featuring young dancers who retell the story of Clara and her nutcracker as they travel through a wintery wonderland. A complimentary "Sugar Plum Party" will be before each matinee show for kids to meet the cast and enjoy sweet treats. $10-$20. Analy High School Theater. 6950 Analy Ave., Sebastopol. See site for showtimes.
