Three people were arrested Tuesday morning on suspicion of marijuana cultivation following a report of an armed robbery at their Ukiah-area residence, according to the Mendocino County Sheriff's Office.
Mark Weatherly, 31, of Ukiah and Fort Bragg, James Pasco, 28, and Amanda Northrup, 22, both of New York, were arrested after deputies found 476 marijuana plants, four pounds of processed marijuana and one pound of concentrated cannabis inside their home, authorities said.
The marijuana was found when deputies responded to a 4:55 a.m. call of an armed robbery at the Guidiville Road residence, authorities said.
The three occupants said they were awakened by at least two suspects, one armed with a shotgun, who were attempting to steal marijuana.
They said the would-be robbers fled in a light-colored vehicle after one of the residents went to a neighbor's home for help.
Anyone with information regarding the attempted robbery is asked to contact the Mendocino County Sheriff's Office at 463-4086.
