The Graton Resort & Casino opens today just outside Rohnert Park. Authorities expect the casino to draw thousands of visitors from around the Bay Area, creating unusually heavy traffic throughout the day and perhaps for weeks.
Law enforcement agencies have deployed additional resources on Highway 101 and surrounding streets but motorists are advised to take alternate routes or avoid the area.
Check back later for updates on the opening of the casino and the traffic situation on surrounding streets and Highway 101.
