Numerous events recognizing U.S. service members will be held in Sonoma County on Monday:

COUNTY PARKS: Sonoma County Regional Parks offer free parking passes for veterans/service members with military ID through today, available at staffed entrances to Spring Lake, Ragle Ranch and Doran parks, REI Santa Rosa and Good to Go Military Surplus in Cotati. 565-2041, sonomacountyparks .org.

CLOVERDALE: Veterans Day Ceremony with guest speakers, "Wreaths Across America" celebration and the Healdsburg Community Band, 7 p.m., Veterans Memorial Building, 205 W. First St. 894-4102.

OAKMONT: Ninth annual Veterans Day golf-cart parade with decorated antique cars, convertibles, electric vehicles and bicycles, post-parade get-together at Oakmont Gardens with refreshments and prizes. Parade starts 1 p.m., Berger Center, 6637 Oakmont Drive. 539-3314.

PETALUMA: Veterans Day Parade, 1 p.m., downtown Petaluma. Four World War II veterans as grand marshals, Clydesdales pulling a wagon with Gold Star parents who have lost sons in conflict, Native American veterans and military aircraft flyovers, followed by program at Walnut Park at about 2:45 p.m.

ROHNERT PARK: Celebration with Mayor Pam Stafford and Supervisor Shirlee Zane, plus the Rohnert Park Community Band and the Rohnert Park Senior Center Vintage Choir, 11 a.m., Rohnert Park Community Center, 5401 Snyder Lane.

SANTA ROSA: Four active duty members of the military will raise the American flag at 8:15 a.m. in front of the hospital in Kaiser Permanente SRO Veteran's Association ceremony.

Celebration at Creekside Rehabilitation and Behavioral Health, 2p.m., with Boy Scout Troops 55 and 134, 850 Sonoma Ave.

SONOMA: Veterans of Foreign Wars Bear Flag Post 1943 flag retirement ceremony,

10 a.m., Sonoma Veterans Memorial Building, 126 First St. W. Chili lunch for first 150 veterans with military ID and their families at 11 a.m. 775-7972

WINDSOR: The American Legion Post 111 will begin a short ceremony at 11 a.m. on the Town Green. There will be a guest speaker, presentation of the flags, a rifle salute and rendition of "Taps."
