Accolade buys New Zealand brands
Accolade Wines, the Australian company which owns Geyser Peak Winery and other brands, has reached an agreement to buy New Zealand brands Mud House and Waipara Hills from the Mud House Wine Group of New Zealand.
The deal, which is subject to approval by New Zealand's Overseas Investment Office, includes the Waipara Hills tasting room and cafe.
"The suite of brands, which also includes Dusky Sounds, Haymaker and Skyleaf, covers outstanding wines from key regions," said Michael East, Accolade's general manager for Australia and New Zealand, in a news release.
The brands augment Accolade Wines' existing portfolio of New Zealand brands and offer the opportunity to grow in Europe, North America and Asia, the company said.
