LINCOLN, Neb. — Authorities say two California men, including a Mendocino County man, have been arrested after more than 62 pounds of marijuana was found after a traffic stop of their vehicle.
The Nebraska State Patrol says a trooper stopped an eastbound sport utility vehicle near Waverly in eastern Nebraska on Thursday morning.
The patrol says a drug dog indicated that there were drugs in the rear of the vehicle. The patrol says the pot was found in two duffel bags in the SUV's rear cargo area.
The two men were arrested on suspicion of possession for sale. They're identified as 46-year-old Sean Cassidy, of Laytonville, and 52-year-old James Morton, of Woodland, Calif.
A Lancaster County jailer said both men remained in custody on Friday.
