Crews looking for missing Yosemite National Park employee

YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK — Search crews are looking for a Yosemite National Park employee who failed to show up for her first day of work.

Yosemite officials say 23-year-old Jessica Rose Garcia was scheduled to begin work at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Wawona Hotel but never reported for work.

Yosemite National Park Rangers checked her park residence Saturday morning and found she was not there.

Garcia was last seen dressed in her work uniform, a dark green polo shirt and dark green jacket, black slacks and black loafers.

The park's helicopter, rangers on horseback and 23 rangers on foot and six dog teams are being used in the search.
