Suspect pleads not guilty in Bay Area girl's death

FAIRFIELD — The man accused in the killing of a 13-year-old Suisun City girl has pleaded not guilty.

A shackled Anthony Lamar Jones entered his plea in Solano County Superior Court on Thursday.

The 32-year-old Jones is charged with murder with special circumstances in the kidnapping, sexual assault and slaying of of Genelle Renee Conway-Allen.

The seventh-grader was reported missing Jan. 31 by her guardian at the foster home where she lived. A passer-by found Genelle's body the next morning in a nearby park.

Dozens of Jenelle's family and friends on attended services on Thursday for the teen who was later buried in Benicia.
