SACRAMENTO, — Isaiah Thomas scored 21 points to help the Sacramento Kings rally in the fourth quarter and beat the Golden State Warriors 91-90 in a preseason game Wednesday night.
After Stephen Curry gave the Warriors an 89-88 lead with a jumper, John Salmons hit a 3-pointer with 7.6 seconds left to give the Kings a 81-89 lead. David Lee was fouled with 1.3 seconds left and made the first free throw, but missed the second that would have tied the game.
Salmons had nine of his 14 points in the fourth quarter when the Kings outscored Golden State 21-9.
Patrick Patterson had 11 points and DeMarcus Cousins, who fouled out midway through the fourth quarter, had 11 points and nine rebounds for the Kings (4-2).
Curry scored 24 points and had six assists for the Warriors (3-3), while Klay Thompson had 16 points, Andrew Bogut 12 and Lee 11.
