High winds rattle Las Vegas, topple big rigs on Bay Area highway

Clark County officials issued a dust advisory that will remain in effect through Monday evening.

The National Weather Service warned of gusts reaching 80 mph Monday in the Spring Mountains and Red Rock Canyon, and gusts of 60 mph in parts of the Las Vegas valley.

KGO-TV reports wind also knocked the facade off a Forever 21 store in the San Francisco Bay Area city of Emeryville. No one was hurt, but two vehicles were damaged.

Crashes on Interstate 580 around the San Joaquin County city of Tracy began around 6 p.m. Sunday and continued until about 5 a.m. Monday.

Authorities in northern Arizona postponed prescribed burns because of the high winds.
