Steely Dan reprises albums at SF shows

Jazz-rockers Steely Dan are reeling in the years, but where are they stowin' away the time? As part of its "Rent Party '09 Tour," the irreverent band will reprise a few of its watermark albums from front to back at 8 p.m. Oct. 23 and 24 at the Masonic Center in San Francisco. Still led by vocalist and keyboardist Donald Fagen and guitarist Walter Becker, Steely Dan will play its 1977 album, "Aja," on Oct. 23, followed by the hits of its 1976 album, "Royal Scam," on Oct. 24. The set list for a third concert at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 25 will be determined by ticket-holders, who can vote online for their favorites. Tickets are $69-$255, available at (800) 745-3000 or at ticketmaster.com. The Nob Hill Masonic Center is located at 1111 California St.
