Laughing Matters

During the month of November, men are encouraged to grow mustaches in an effort to spark conversation and raise funds for men’s health programs. Thumbprint Cellars is doing its part by hosting Laughing Matters, a comedy fundraiser at the Raven Theater in Healdsburg, with proceeds benefiting the Movember Foundation, a global organization that’s working to improve the lives of men affected by prostate cancer, testicular cancer and mental health problems. The comedy show will feature host Steve Ausburne and several hilarious local comedians. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show starts at 8. Admission is $25, or $55 for VIP tickets. For all the details, visit thumbprintcellars.com.

Trio Celeste

The works of Beethoven will be performed by Trio Celeste, a talented group of young chamber musicians. Violinist Iryna Krechkovsky, cellist Ross Gasworth, and pianist Kevin Kwan Loucks have traveled the globe with their performances, and will be playing on Saturday at the First Presbyterian Church of Santa Rosa in a benefit for The Living Room. Admission to the concert is free, but donations will be collected at intermission. The event starts at 7:30 p.m. For more information, visit fpcsantarosa.org
