When the winners of the 57th annual Grammy Awards are announced Feb. 8 on CBS TV, Sonoma County music fans will want to listen for two names in particular.

Harmonica master Charlie Musselwhite, who lives outside Healdsburg, is nominated this year in the Best Blues Album category for his latest album, “Juke Joint Chapel.” Musselwhite and singer-songwriter Ben Harper won in the same category last year for their collaboration on the album, “Get Up!”

Kitaro, pioneering New Age music recording artist, composer, record producer and arranger, is nominated this year for a Grammy the 16th time during his long career. His album, “Symphony Live in Istanbul” is up for Best New Age Album. In 2000, Kitaro’s “Thinking of You” won in the same category. A native of Japan, Kitaro has lived in Sebastopol since 2005.
