Washi Egg Time: Barbra Friedman is hosting her next series of Washi Egg classes in March, with four sessions schedule.

“Washi” means paper in Japan and this ancient craft focuses on hand-made mulberry paper to create decorative eggs, perfect for spring’s new beginnings. You’ll also learn how to use twigs and grasses to create nests for your eggs.

If you like to sip and nibble as you learn a new craft, check out the class on March 18 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Patisseries Angelica (6821 Laguna Park Way, Sebastopol), which includes tea and nibbles.

Things wrap up on March 25 at Cast Away and Folk Modern Craft (100 4th St., Santa Rosa) from 5:30 to 7:30. To register for this session, email justine@castawayandfolk.com.
