New works to be featured on Sonoma County's Sculpture Trail

Annual year-long outdoor exhibit is adding 18 new sculptures in downtown Cloverdale and Geyserville.|

The artistic landscape in downtown Cloverdale and Geyserville will change drastically in early May with the installation of 18 new works for the 2015-2016 Sculpture Trail exhibit.

The 10 new sculptures in Cloverdale include “Wing Obelisk” by Peter Crompton of Santa Rosa and “GMO Heifer,” depicting a genetically altered calf, by Michael Seymour of Forestiville.

The eight new additions in Cloverdale include “One-Eyed Jack,” a red steel head created by Joe Bologna of Alamo.

The year-round outdoor exhibit, produced by the Cloverdale Arts Alliance and the Geyserville Community Foundation, rotates sculptures every May. This year’s new works will be added May 7-8 to others already on display. The sculptures will be shown until May 5, 2016.

A public artists’ reception will be held from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. May 16 at the Cloverdale Performing Arts Center, 209 N. Cloverdale Blvd.
