If children learn to enjoy live shows when they’re young, they’ll grow into the audience of the future.

With that in mind, Santa Rosa’s Wells Fargo Center for the Arts presents the annual Clover Stornetta Family Fun Series, with puppetry, performing pets, acrobats and live versions of favorite characters from television and books.

The 2015-2016 season, announced this week, opens Oct. 21 with “Veggie Tales Live!” featuring 14 cast and crew members from the Netflix TV series, and closes May 12, 2016 with the Popovich Comedy Pet Theater.

The rest of the series includes: Nov. 4 -- Golden Dragon Acrobats; Dec. 1 -- Lightwire Theatre’s “A Very Electric Christmas”; Jan. 20 -- Dr. Seuss’ “The Cat in the Hat,” performed by Childsplay; Feb. 21 -- “The BFG” by Roald Dahl, Dallas Children’s Theater; March 15 -- “Clifford The Big Red Dog,” based on the Emmy-nominated TV series; April 10 -- “Story Pirates.”

The series also features free family art projects before each show and opportunities to meet the performers after the shows.

Season tickets are available for the entire series at $50-$80 for children, and $68-$112 for adults. For the first time, the new “Pick 4” program allows patrons to choose any shows and save 10 percent on ticket prices.

Tickets are available by phone at 546-3600, online at wellsfargocenterarts.org, and in person at the center’s box office at 50 Mark West Springs Road, Santa Rosa.

Single tickets will go on sale in August, and range in price $17 to $21 for adults, and from $12 to $16 for children.
