Longtime Sonoma County resident Tom Waits performed a new song Thursday during his 10th and last appearance on the “Late Show With David Letterman.”

“This is for you, Dave,” Waits told David Letterman before performing the song, aptly titled “Take One Last Look.”

Before Waits’ song, movie star George Clooney jokingly sought to prevent Letterman from leaving by handcuffing himself to the comedian. Letterman proceed to interview Waits, with Clooney sitting silently behind, still attached at the wrists.

Waits, who was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2011, first appeared with Letterman in 1983, when the comedian hosted a late-night show on NBC.

Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder is scheduled to perform on Monday’s episode. Bob Dylan is set to perform on Tuesday night, and Letterman wraps up his final show on Wednesday night.
