Geoff Muldaur, pioneering folk, blues and folk-rock musician of the ‘60s and ‘70s, will perform Saturday, May 30, in Sebastopol.

He was a founding member of two influential groups, the Jim Kweskin Jug Band and Paul Butterfield’s Better Days.

Muldaur’s wife at the time, singer Maria Muldaur, also was a member of the Kweskin group, and the couple later played and recorded as a duo. They separated in 1972.

Geoff Muldaur went on to record during the late ‘70s with Bobby Charles, Jerry Garcia, Eric Von Schmidt, Bonnie Raitt and John Cale.

Muldaur continues to record and tour, and appears as an occasional guest on Garrison Keillor’s “Prairie Home Companion” radio series.

The concert starts at 8 p.m. at the Sebastopol Community Center Annex, 425 Morris St., Sebastopol. Tickets cost $22. Reservations: 707-824-1858, krussellmft@aol.com.
