El Capitan climbers Kevin Jorgeson, Tommy Caldwell set to appear at Wells Fargo Center

El Capitan climbers Kevin Jorgeson and Tommy Caldwell will tell stories, answer audience questions at an upcoming appearance at the Wells Fargo Center.|

Regular patrons of Wells Fargo Center for the Arts are used to seeing well-known musicians and comedians there, but on Aug. 16 they'll get see a local hero.

Yosemite climbers Kevin Jorgeson, a Santa Rosa native, and Tommy Caldwell, who won international fame for scaling El Capitan last January, will present a video of their climb and answer questions from the audience.

The two professional climbers will share their stories about their historic first free of El Capitan's Dawn Wall, a 19-day climb that ended with their trimumphant arrival at the 3,000-foot summit.
