Celebrate harvest at these Sonoma County winery events
In Wine Country, harvest celebrations pop up all over the landscape, offering fine wine and more. You can take your pick of oysters, barbecue, desserts, dancing and even bocce ball.
Here's a handful of early September events you might want to try:
Saturday, Sept. 5
'Harvest Dinner Celebration' -- Celebrate the new harvest with a four-course dinner in the Cellar, followed by dessert, dancing and Antoine Favero's award winning wines. 5-10 p.m. Mazzocco Winery, 1400 Lytton Springs Road, Healdsburg. $135. 707-433-3399, mazzocco.com.
Sunday, Sept. 6
'Oysters on the Terrazzo' -- Each ticket holder receives 12 raw oysters, 6 barbeque oysters, tomato salad, garlic bread, grilled seasonal vegetables, and a glass of wine. Saturday, Sept. 12
