One of Sonoma County’s most beautiful spots celebrates its 10th anniversary Saturday, Oct. 3, when the Pepperwood Preserve, the 3,120-acre nature preserve northeast of Santa Rosa, hosts its “Pepperwood Anniversary Sunset Celebration.”

Pepperwood’s first-ever fundraising event will honor the preserve’s founders, Herb and Jane Dwight, from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at the Dwight Center for Conservation Science, 2130 Pepperwood Preserve Road.

The event features live classical, jazz, rock and world music by composer and pianist Nolan Gasser, chief musicologist for Pandora Media, with vocalists Michael Maguire and Buffy Baggott and violinist Jeremy Cohen. The celebration also includes food and Nicholson Ranch Wine.

Tickets cost $180. Attendance is limited, but due to some last-minute cancellations, a few tickets are still available. Email Julie Bartice jbartice@pepperwoodpreserve.org to purchase tickets.
