Santa Rosa Symphony adds four new players
When the Santa Rosa Symphony opens its season Oct. 10 to 12, the orchestra will have a fuller sound, thanks to the addition of three, permanent string players who auditioned this fall.
Winning a seat in the first violin section is San Francisco resident Aromi Park, who is a former member of the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra and the Memphis Symphony Orchestra.
Sitting in the second violin section will be Genevieve Micheletti, a San Francisco resident who is a musician with the Stockton Symphony.
Joining the contrabass section is Jon Keigwin, a resident of San Rafael, who plays with the Berkeley Symphony and the Sun Valley Summer Symphony.
In addition, the orchestra hired Jesse Barrett of San Francisco to fill an oboe/English horn vacancy. Barrett resides in San Francisco and plays with the Merced Symphony, the Reno Chamber Orchestra and Symphony Napa Valley.
“I warmly welcome the new musicians joining the Santa Rosa Symphony,” said Music Director Bruno Ferrandis. “I continue to be impressed by the talent and dedication of every member of the orchestra.”
Season subscriptions, including a four-concert mini-package, are still available. 546-8742 or santarosasymphony.com.
